If you're as picky with what is installed on your system as i am you'd also wonder why portage wants to install cups when updating chromium. Apparently chromium now depends on cups so there is no way around, even if you don't want to print stuff. But i didn't give you so easily. After googling a lot and digging through faqs i ended up in #chromium on freenode. a friendly guy called rubenbb pointed me to a line in the code to change and so i did. I tested it, it works! So i made a patch, and adjusted an ebuild. You can download both here:
